Alison Van Hecke LMSW, CSHP, SRES

Alison Van Hecke brings a rare combination of clinical insight and real estate expertise to the world of senior transitions. As a Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW), Certified Senior Housing Professional (CSHP), and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), she has built her career around helping older adults and their families make thoughtful, informed decisions during times of change.
Her experience in senior healthcare revealed a consistent gap: families were often left to navigate complex moves, housing decisions, and emotional transitions without clear guidance. Recognizing this, Alison set out to create a better way.
Today, as the founder of Lighthouse Group NWA, she leads a team that provides a fully integrated approach to downsizing—combining real estate, move management, and senior transitions in Northwest Arkansas into one cohesive process. Her work is grounded in the belief that these moves are not just logistical, but deeply personal, and should be handled with both strategy and compassion.
Alison is known for bringing order to what often feels overwhelming. She helps clients cut through uncertainty, anticipate challenges before they arise, and move forward with confidence—whether they are right-sizing, relocating, or planning for the future.
When she’s not working with clients, Alison enjoys serving on the board of directors for Circle of Life and running Senior Smart Talk, her non-profit focused on educating older adults on aging issues and putting information in their hands before they need it so they can plan ahead and age well.
Jason Van Hecke

I lead Lighthouse at Home, the Aging in Place division of the Lighthouse brand. Our mission is to help individuals remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes, or wherever they call home, for as long as possible. With my background in architecture and the Certified Aging in Place Specialist designation, I am able to assess, recommend, design and coordinate modifications to your home that not only add value but additional comfort and safety. I enjoy spending time on the trails whether hiking, biking or running. I am thankful to extend the continuum of care that Lighthouse is known for to support seniors in this great community.
Jami Spurling, LCSW, SRES
Real Estate Agent & Downsizing Specialist
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring a compassionate and problem-solving approach to senior real estate and downsizing. My background in social work has given me years of experience helping individuals navigate tough decisions, including senior housing transitions and selling their homes. At Lighthouse Group NWA, I help seniors lighten the load of downsizing and embrace new opportunities. Personally, I enjoy reading a good mystery, traveling to new places with my husband, and walking our dogs, Jake and Roman.

As a Certified Senior Housing Professional and Senior Real Estate Specialist, I bring both expertise and a deeply personal understanding of the challenges faced during later-life transitions. Inspired by my own experiences, I am passionate about guiding individuals and families through this journey with care, empathy, and unwavering support.
By addressing both the emotional and practical aspects of these transitions, I ensure my clients feel confident and supported as we navigate the complexities together.
Having called Northwest Arkansas home for many years, I have a deep appreciation for the area and love helping others feel welcome and at home here. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, exploring the outdoors, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with family and friends.
