Alison Van Hecke LMSW, CSHP, SRES

Owner | Executive Broker & Downsizing Specialist

I am a Certified Senior Housing Professional, Senior Real Estate Specialist, and Licensed Master’s Social Worker. In my work as a Senior Healthcare Case Manager, I noticed the challenges seniors and their family members faced in downsizing. I decided to use my expertise to create an easier downsizing process for seniors in the community. I am passionate about decreasing stress in the moving process, and I love creating simple ways to get difficult things accomplished. It’s so important to understand your options, and I am dedicated to educating others so that they can prepare for the future. In my free time, I enjoy walking and spending time with family and friends. There is something special about NW Arkansas, and I love helping people step into the next season of their lives with confidence.

Real Estate Agent & Downsizing Specialist

As a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), I am passionate about working with seniors as they transition to their next home because I know how overwhelming these decisions can be. I have worked with seniors for many years as a Registered Nurse, helping them through areas of case management, assisted living, and long term care. I am thankful that we can take the stress and hassle out of the moving process for our clients. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, reading, crafting, spending time outdoors, and trying ALL the food.

Jami Spurling, LCSW

Real Estate Agent & Downsizing Specialist

In my experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have worked in hospital, clinic, insurance and community based settings. I have walked alongside many people while they are making tough choices. Seniors and their families face so many decisions as life moves along. Downsizing and selling a home are decisions that Lighthouse Group NWA can help with. As a real estate salesperson with a background in social work, I have a unique way of meeting challenges with compassion, understanding, and years of problem solving skills. I am enthusiastic about helping seniors and their families lighten the load of downsizing, and enjoy the fullness of life. In my own life, I enjoy reading a good mystery, traveling to new places with my husband, and walking our dogs Jake and Roman.

I love having a role in helping seniors transition to their next home because we are able to take so much of the stress off of their plate. It’s important work, and I am glad we can be a shoulder for people to lean on as they make these big changes. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, walking my dog, Bella & volunteering with my daughter, Emily.

I love partnering with seniors and their families to break down the process of downsizing into manageable parts. I started supporting seniors as an Activities Director and Volunteer Coordinator for a community program. I know how overwhelming moving can be, and I aim to make it as seamless as possible for every senior. It’s important to work with someone you trust to help you with the big and small decisions that come with downsizing. It can be an emotional process for some, and I love helping people feel supported every step of the way. In my spare time, I enjoy making crafts, reading, and spending time outdoors.

I earned a BSBA in Business Marketing from University of Arkansas, and I have over 15 years of combined experience in real estate and marketing assistance. Since 2019, I have been working at LightHouse Group to give the best customer service to our senior community. Helping seniors walk through an overwhelming amount of decisions is one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I love taking some of the stress off their shoulders. There are a lot of big decisions, and I want every senior to know that they don’t have to make these decisions alone. When I’m not at work, I’m usually hiking, doing house projects, and spending time with friends. I’m so thankful to be a part of The Lighthouse Group team!
